Actually I guess it's probably nice not to have to worry about sweating and sunscreen when going to a game. But there's nothing better than October baseball in NY.

Unfortunately, I don't have any October baseball memories. Maybe this year tho!

You'll always have ruining America's healing process after 9/11!

I didn't move to AZ till the summer of 2012, so I can't even claim that championship as my own.....or even the Dbacks last playoff appearance for that matter. I'm hungry for postseason baseball!

Who'd you root for before 2012? And was the transition an easy one?

Maybe he was like cruizin and watched some foreign league soccer exclusively.

Answer stands and will be suitably mocked unless ec says otherwise.

Grew up in northeast NC watching the Braves on TBS so was a big fan of theirs. Unfortunately, they were about 8.5 hours away, Baltimore was 5ish, and once the Expos became the Nationals, they were still 4+ hours away, so I definitely never had a home town team to root for, and sadly never saw the Braves play in Atlanta(I'm still mad at myself for never getting down there before Chipper retired). When I moved out here I thought I'd still remain a Braves fan, and I do still follow and pull for them, but now that I live somewhere with a local team 30 minutes away, it's hard not to be a fan.

The first year I was out here I was 50/50 Dbacks/Braves, by year 2 it was 75/25, and it's been 97/3 since then.

Lol. I'm not sure I could name more than 3 soccer players or teams.

So, when you think of the Shelby Miller trade, do you fist pump then chastise yourself?

Sorry, couldn't help it.

Haha. Shelby Miller was just a random name to me as he wasn't with the Braves yet when I was a bigger fan. But there's definitely been some head shaking over that one.

The trade that brought Prado out here happened shortly after I moved. I remember being happy about that one just because I was familiar with him and Delgado at the time. iirc, that also brought Ahmed and Drury out here. I'm ok with how that one has worked out.

Decent chance after tonight that the NL Central has ZERO teams above .500, lol.

I could see the switching teams thing. If a professional team ever moved to CT, I 100% switch and root for that team with every ounce of my soul.

AGon to the DL. Are the Doyers cheating, taking advantage of the 10 day DL and their whole 40 man, or just being smarter than the rest of the league?

Similarly decent chance the whole AL East is at or above 500.

Edit to add: Though it looks like we have non-sharp Estrada going.

Edit to add 4 runs and 6 minutes later: Welp.
