yeah don't really understand what the Braves are trying to do here, I guess I get what the cards are...rather they get rid of Peralta but I doubt he has much value at this point
They're trying to tell their fans not to doubt that they've reached the key inflection point of the rebuild
And I think Adams is a prototypical example of one of the kinda guys their evaluation system massively overrates
And seriously it's like they hate Jace Peterson
I know he's not a first baseman but it's like they've just made an executive decision that he won't develop further so there's no need to get him at bats because his bat will never progress past utilityman level
They'd rather call up Ruiz early than play Jace at 3B. And Adonis can only hit against lefties and he's an old man, but before he got hurt they wouldn't play Jace at 3B against righties
And Jace was surprisingly good defensively at 1B the past couple games despite being so short
Read somewhere that maybe the Braves are hoping Adams goes ham on that short porch in right so they can flip him for a better asset than the dude they just gave up
Whoa. CMart with 8 innings of shutout baseball. 2 hits, 4 Ks. 73 pitches. It's crazy because he could realistically go 10 or 11 innings at this rate, and the game is still 0-0 cuz Shark has also been pitching a shutout
It's those moral victories that really matter. I mean who wouldn't be excited about putting together a 10 game win streak in May and still be 6.5 games out of 1st in the division.
I'm not sure why they postponed the Brewers vs. Cubs game today instead of delaying it. There is currently no rain in Chicago and no more expected for several hours. It looks like the Cubs dropped the ball on this one, kind of like Moises Alou in 2003.
Cubs needed to rest their bullpen after Friday's game. I'm 85% sure that's why the game was so quickly cancelled.
