It seems like they've never even trailed this whole streak.

Those aren't legit arguments. The record is the record. If you want to debate who was better at baseball, sure.

BONDS is the HR King is an objective fact. BONDS is the GOAT is not (well I mean he is, but technically it's debatable)

And why does Maris get to be called the champ? Didn't he break the record in a longer season? Doesn't sound like a legit record to me. Probably shouldn't count.
No need to apologize for liking cheaters and their records.

I would think shamelessness would come more naturally to your ilk.

I disagree. Corked his bat, effectively.

Baseball writers will always look at the record* with a jaundiced eye, sorry.

Love how people insist on calling Stanton legit for doing this with the most juiced ball of all-time.

Just give JD 5/125 and let's keep him a Dback.

meh, my point is that every situation has its asterisks if you want it to. The record is 73. It happened.

Zero chance a borderline playoff team in phx can afford that and cranky's contract.

Who thought they could afford Greinke? Just gotta find a way to move Tomas.

A guy hit 73 homers in a season. Therefore, the record for homers in a season is 73. It isn't ****ing difficult.

If Stanton hits less than 73, then he doesn't have the record. Doesn't make it any less awesome to watch him crush the **** out of the ball.

Probably more likely to keep Greinke + JD than move the Tomas deal.

Padres plans are just to be ****, without having prospects that will pan out? It is probably one of the better parks in the league, so whatevs they'll draw enough crowd and get their subsidies to make a profit.

I'm convinced Tory Lovullo is going to cost the Dbacks at least 1 playoff game this year. His in game decision making is awful. 2 nights in a row a lot of the L goes to him.
