The former record is 20 in 1998.

That pitcher almost threw a perfect game last week.

They're better than some teams, but not any where near the BoSox and Stros. There are no NL that even give a scare, so flip a coin for your world series champ. imo.

On the flip side it’s baseball so even the reds are like 30% to win any series.

Ok, maybe a bad example.

ha not actually looking to bet it, I want to watch as few reds games as possible. was generally curious what that number would be, I know lolbaseball but I don't know if I can even see them luck boxing 4 in a row

A 4-game win streak would be sweet. The Cubs have yet to win or lose more than 2 in a row all year. They've hit every .500 record from 0-0 to 9-9. The MLB record to start a season like that is 10-10, which they can match with an L in Cleveland tonight!

Book it. I get the Reds never winning 4+ in a row in 2018 and you get them somehow luckboxing 4 wins in a row. quote to blah blah confirm. edit:$50. I'll pay within the week it happens if they somehow pull it off.

I wonder what the math actually is for a team that say, wins 35% of their games over the course of a season to win 4 in a row. I imagine only that it's a pretty hairy calculation.

Ooooh that's a good one. I think you'd have to give odds against the over though.

It is pretty interesting. I might adjust the research to cover all teams that won 60 or fewer games in the last 20 years or so. Or maybe just since interleague became a regular occurrence.
