I went to the AAA All Star Game @ Cheney last year. It was... a AAA All Star Game. Mostly I enjoyed watching my friend Radio Mike awkwardly interview the players during the HR Derby the day before.

Athletics for the Ms because there is nobody else. Maybe the Rays. The Mariners have been exceptionally lucky. The Angels, Athletics, and Rays all have superior +/- to the Mariners.

As for the Brewers, I just don't think they are very good and there is a lot of teams right there. Assuming Dodgers and Cubs win their divisions, you only need 3 of the following teams to finish ahead of the Brewers: Dbacks, Rockies, Braves, Phillies, Nationals. Hell even the Giants and Cardinals aren't out of it in the NL.

So I think the Mariners don't make it because their run good ends, and the Brewers don't make it because of the team amount of above average teams in the NL.

I'm still rooting for the A's, not just because I bet $5 to win WS $3,500 on bodog 6 weeks ago.
