Vazquez was my guess. Definitely better than a lot of people remember.

Not even sure why we're lol'n 5 year peaks, seems super significant to me and one of the best metrics to evaluate the borderline cases.

Vazquez would have been great if he never pitched in New York.

The Yankees traded for him twice following huge seasons and he bombed both times, suffering mostly from inflated HR-rates.

what is the point of that exercise? Webb literally only played those seasons and got a CY plus two second places. seems like his performance was recognized. with a somewhat normal career path for ten more years he makes the hall

very weird. solid 3 war starter only making 6M this year with another arb year left

Strange, maybe he has a drug problem or serious problem with the Rays like a fight or something.

edit: apparently they just don't want to pay his $6mil this year, and didn't get any trade bites. At least that's what mlbtr thinks.

Batter who put up a 52bWAR in his first full 10 seasons and and a career 68bWAR? He dropped off first year of hof ballot.

Just contract the Rays already if there's really nothing more to it than not wanting to pay 6M for an all-star.

I'd rather they get shipped to Monterrey, MX City, or Montreal.

But don't worry. Jeter will get 99%+ as will Rivera. And idiot Mo Vaughn wannabe David Ortiz will somehow get in as well.

Ortiz is fully deserving. Mo Vaughn was done being a good player at 30.

Ortiz hit like an MVP at 40 and hit .455 in 3 WS.

Mo Vaughn done at 30, David Ortiz wasn't good until 27. I wonder which one of them cheated.
