Giants gotta be favored to sign Bautista on account of they're taking former faces of franchises past their "best before" date and making a big salad.

Giants definitely the favorites for the 2013 World Series

Pirates trade is fine. People know Cole isn't that good, right?

This is kinda where I’m at. Never saw all the fuss with this guy

He’s ok, but he also had a spike in homers pitching in the NL in PNC. Not the best sign

Plus cole is a big baby that would start fights with Carlos Gomez.

Cards get what seems like a really good return on Grchik. Good reliever and a decent prospect from the Jays. Tho sadly this means Donaldson isn’t coming so that sucks.

I'm against the greedy owners, but I'm also glad that some of these "good" FA veterans are going to see much less than they were expecting. Young players making league min are the best players on a lot of teams. That poof on the Cubs won the MVP making league min. Correa is going to win MVP this year making league. **** needs to change.

I think the money is shifting down to reflect the increased perceived value of the draft pick loss.

Which relates to how valuable that cheap labor is. Pay the young guys more and that draft pick loss isn't as big of a deal.

Not sure if this contributed but certainly didn’t help. Certainly may aid plane manufacturer if there is a lawsuit.

Roy Halladay had amphetamine, morphine in system, according to autopsy

I'm shocked that a retired athlete took prescribed painkillers.

Doesn’t mean you should fly. Would you be ok if your pilot had that in his system? Morphine is pretty damn powerful.

The toxicology results show Halladay had zolpidem (the generic name for Ambien), as well as morphine in his system at the time of the crash. The tests also came back positive for amphetamines.

One source familiar with the autopsy tells us the results are consistent with someone who uses Rx medication.

Morphine is in prescription painkillers.

Looks like Chipper, Vlad, and Thome are locks.

Hoffman and Edgar are maybes with Hoffman leaning yes and Edgar leaning no.

Only other thing of note to watch for is if Andruw Jones makes the 5% needed to stay on.

Can't wait!

I agree, but is looking pretty unlikely for this year's vote.

non-public votes tend to suppress potential inductees that the internet seems to like. Bonds, Clemens, Mussina, Edgar will all likely fall off the pace that they're on (not sure about Hoffman, as the olds will like the saves more than the younger generation so I'm not sure he'd apply), but the non-public votes have registered those guys at a significanly lower clip than public ones the last few years.

I would have been fine with Edgar getting in too, just because he played 17 years with the same team. Hoffman getting in quickly and Wagner eating **** seems wrong. Although, Wagner got in the playoffs.
