This is probably the worst side of a debate I've seen in any debate on any topic ever.

I guess we need to discredit all the Yankees legends too for playing on stacked teams their whole careers?

Ortiz is a much bigger celebrity than Edgar and the face of Bos for over a decade of winning. Also dingers. His stats are fine too, Ortiz should definitely get in.

I agree in theory that the HOF should be the HOF not the HOW, but that doesn't seem like what its turned into. Growing up I could never figure out why Roger Maris wasn't in

I actually agree with this. If you define the HOF as the people without whom you can’t tell the story of baseball, well, you can tell the story of baseball without Edgar. You can’t without Ortiz

It’s like Kevin Brown. Statistically he is beyond dispute a hall of fame pitcher, but name one Kevin Brown moment that stands out to you ever

(I say this believing Edgar and brown should both be in the HOF)

Usually like 4-5 real candidates that get more than 50% of their team's starts at DH.
