To be honest, I don't trust them either. The logic in making those bets:
* Seattle's odds on Bovada are ludicrous and based on the rumor that GMs call them the heavy fav, even though those same GMs said the Yankees were. Pretty clueless.
* Ohtani pretty clearly favours the west coast, so I don't think it'll be TEX or ChC
* San Diego and Anaheim are the closest thing to the smaller market and both stand up as teams that qualify for Ohtani's desire to help lift a team instead of joining a winner.
* San Fran is just an incredibly well-run org as player satisfaction goes and the city is phenomenal. I like also that they presented first and I have to think there are few players more enticing for SO than Posey.
* I like that SD presented last and they clearly have strong relationships.
Tex and Sea both have strong past Japanese legacies and speculation was that he didn't want to walk into that kind of situation.
* I really don't think the money is going to matter.
