It would be really good for baseball to have a position player who can mash, that also pitches every 5th day. That is a network exec's dream.

Ryan's cap on his plaque says Texas but his primary team is listed as the Angels, correctly. He had his most innings pitched, most K's, W's, lowest ERA, most all star appearances and 4 of his 7 no hitters were with the Angels so that should count as an Angel.

Ultimately it doesn't matter because whats clear to see is that Cashman just wants someone in there to push buttons and talk to the media, nothing else.
