Scheduling is odd.

I don't recall exactly if the situation has been rectified, but as of a couple years ago there was still a combo or 2 of teams who had never hosted another team.

You would think in 6 years you should be able to cover everything.

Baseball HOF: A joke now and forever

Hoffman and Wagner are nearly identical in terms of performance (I'd argue Wagner's better) but the former gets in because lol saves and Wagner gets slightly above 10% of the vote.

Clemens, Ramirez and Bonds still don't get in because lol roids. Schilling and Mussina don't get in because...reasons? But Andy Pettite will in 2018 because of the Yankees and Halladay because he's dead. Omar Vizquel got more votes than Larry Walker ffs.

Even if he didn't do anything with the Marlins, there'd be at least one Armond White type looking to ruin the unanimous vote just to get their name out there.

Im reminded of one of the most beautiful things Ive witnessed in person. I was sitting just above the 3rd base dugout at Safeco Field, the perfect angle to watch Jim Thome in his Chicago grey. Well anyways he hits an absolute missile out of the ballpark. The stroke and the angle I had on the ball were just sublime.

Let's make a bet on Andy Pettite getting in in 2018. Name your price and odds.

Pirates are still stacked offensively. Zero pitching in the division. Central may be bottom of the food chain after the PHILS sign Darvish,

If I had to guess, I think the Brewers are lining up a Domingo Santana trade for pitching.

Looking at their Twitter accounts, Zach Davies and Travis Shaw are loving the acquisitions.

trying to figure out who would be willing to trade pitching for OF at this point in the offseason.

Seems like the Brewers and Phillies should trade their free agent acquisitions.

Broxton probably on his way out, if I had to guess. I'm probably unreasonably high on him, but has too much upside to be a fifth outfielder.

Does marlins shirt guy request a trade at this point?

Oh come on. Vlad is wearing Angles cap over Expos? Just cause he made more money there, he was clearly better and there longer for Montreal.

Mlb.com article of the trade said Broxton will be the 4th OF, and either Braun or Santana will be moved, with Santana having more trade value.

It's a coin flip.

Brewers now have one of the best outfields in the game, but will probably still miss the playoffs. Maybe the best. Brewers OF> Yankees OF I'm obviously missing some teams, but my instincts are rarely wrong. imo.

Ill bet you that Gardner, Stanton, Judge combine for higher WAR than Yelich, Cain, and whoever #3 ends up being.

So you get Gardner, Stanton, Judge no matter what and the other side gets Yelich, Cain, and best OF WAR in Milwaukee?

Stanton injury seems to be a large part of the bet.

3rd being Braun or Santana.

But yeah that's the bet.

Love Cain. Hope he can stay healthy and productive. Rooting for the brewers now . Seems like a perfectly good deal to me. one of the most underrated players in baseball for a while .anecdotally I have never seen a guy make as many plays as he did a few years back in 2015 all year (iirc). Perfect storm of being in physical prime and randomly getting hit a ton of balls that were difficult but not impossiblenplays
