It is wild that Manny Ramirez stole so few bases(38) He obviously crushes the other categories.

I haven't watched much of his career.

My main goal was to find someone as close to 350 HRs and 200 SBs as possible. Because otherwise it would be like 600 HRs as the benchmark, so we can throw Bonds, Mays, etc. out.

Wow, reading comprehension for the win. I gave clear examples of Hall of Fame players playing for teams that aren't associated with the Hall of Fame.

I literally said "Even the Marlins had Mike Piazza for like a week lol." and you took that to mean I associate Piazza w/ the Marlins.

No wonder you were banned for being a racist POS. I'm surprised 2+2 let you back.

But go on, tell us more "jokes" about Darvish giving up home runs.

lol how many times have you been banned? And outside of the Piazza thing you didn't make your examples clear. I'm not racist by the way. Some mods have very thin skin. Also, I don't care to rehash stupid ****, I'd rather talk trades and HOF.

Outside Piazza? IDK, Wade Boggs? Only played for Boston for like 10 years and won a ring in NY. Yet he tried to get in the Hall as Rays player.

Ryan played 5 years w/ both the Mets and Rangers. He played 8 w/ the Angels and 9 with the Astros. Not sure what you are getting at when you say people associate him w/ the Rangers. Maybe you didn't watch baseball before he joined them, IDK. I was born in '75 so I associate him w/ the Astros.

If that whole Ryan/Ventura thing is your top Nolan Ryan highlight, you are missing out on what he did in his career. Like, that fight should barely make your top ten list when it comes to Ryan. And since I know you'll ask me the top 10, I give you his 7 no hitters, his 5,700 K's, having his number retired by 3 teams and oh that fight. Congrats. #10.

Boggs did that because the Rays were offering him compensations for going in as a Ray. The guy is a huge drunk, I don't think he has a loyalty to any team.

I'm an Astros fan and even though Ryan works with the astros now, I consider his defining years to be with the Mets or Rangers.

Also, you're insane if you wouldn't put that Ventura fight in your top 10 Ryan highlight reel.

He had longevity and I'm sure it was never enhanced by now forbidden substances.

Ryan and Henderson are on my list of guys who I think PED'd early enough that nobody suspected them because they were gone once people started getting caught.

Whenever I think of Nolan Ryan I think of that 1-2 punch he had with Mike Scott in Houston. He was like 45 when he pitched for the Rangers.

Henderson doesn't even drink. Can't see him putting an unknown substance in his body.

Henderson has such an enormous ego that I imagine he would use PEDs before letting his body succumb to time naturally.

Larry Walker got traded to STL for Jason Burch, Luis Martinez and Chris Narveson in August of 2004. He put up 3.3 WAR in 144 games over 2 years before retiring.

Narveson is the only one to actually provide any baseball value, though I say that for a reason. Well, he hasn't actually provided value per se... 500 replacement level innings over his big league career, but you get me. Anyhow, Narveson only threw 9 innings for the Cardinals before the trade, and never once pitched for the Rockies. Instead, he'd get sent to Boston for Byung-hyun Kim. Kim was a rental down the stretch, but re-signed the next offseason, before getting traded to Florida for Jorge Julio. Julio was alright in his only season in Colorado before free agency.

Martinez got cut shortly after.

Jason Burch never made the big leagues, but happens to be the first openly gay player in professional baseball. He was also eventually traded for Rodrigo Lopez, who got released after that same season.

Is Walker not getting enough love because he played in Coors Field before they started leadening the ball or whatever they do there now?

His totals aren't that impressive because of an injury riddled career.

2180 hits and 383 home runs from an Outfielder is a problem to the voters I imagine. His rate stats are all insane, but he just missed so many games year after year.

In 597 career games at Coors he batted .381/.462/.710

Walker is obv HoF worthy, but it does bring up a good question:

How much more valuable is a 1500 game 10 year career, compared to say 1500 games over 15 years? I'd say the 10 year career is a whole lot more valuable.

That's been my feeling. Basically, the more compact the career, the more valuable the production because it's harder to replace the average annual production. I don't have the math skills to say just how much more valuable it is, but I'm absolutely taking the guy who produces more in a shorter period.
