wow, that tells you how good NYY are or are projected to be then. it is impossible for a AL east team to win 98+ games

JETTOOOOOOOOOOOO

He is going to be SOLID in ANY teams staff as a 3rd option. How many 3rd options are better than Wilson? you can;t name more than 3. Nobody said he is great. But saying he wont do well is lolworthy. The guy is going to pitch and pitch well for LAA. he is their 3rd option ffs.

The guy is legit. he is in a great fit

And why is he their 3rd option? Because you said so? And wtf does what "option" he is on a team have to do with how good he is?

If he's an ace he's bad but if he's a #3 he's a "stud"

Do I have that right Jetto?

He benefits the LAA more if he is their 3rd starter rather than 1st. you know this

Yah, but that's not what im asking you, you ****ing ******.

If C.C. Sabathia is the Yankees #3 rather than there #1 of course is benefits the Yankees more.

Best 3rd options in baseball in 2012:

Cole Hamels
Jordan Zimmermann
Brandon Beachy
Hiroki Kuroda
Clay Buchholz
Matt Moore
CJ Wilson
Madison Bumgarner
Trevor Cahill

Who'd I miss, JEtto?

No it wouldn't. DUCY?

hint: look at their rotation.

why would you possibly put your best pitcher in the 3 slot? DO I need to teach you baseball?

I can only say maybe 3 who I would consider better than Wilson. Hames is an obv of course

lmao, Jetto, I obviously meant if the Yankees added 2 better pitchers to their roster. I mean if you're not the dumbest mother ****er on the internet today I couldn't fathom who is.

This is quality quality ******ation.

Studs =! Aces itt

Btw, I might be slightly biased, but I would take 5 of those pitchers over CJ.

I made a straight up bet today that 3 NL East team would win more than 85 games. Awful bet?

5dimes has the following

Phi O93.5 +110
Mia O84.5 -130
Atl O86.5 -120

So yes, awful seems correct.

CJ Wilson will be very good, and he's a pretty good investment considering his limited past workload, younger than his age

But doesn't being straight edge hurt him in the clutch? You know like playoff type games?

FYI I'll gladly bet Top 2 Rays SP's vs Top 2 Tigers in ERA, we can add them ikestoys style, min 150IP

Just this season? Hamels, Madbum and maybe Kuroda. Then Wilson.

Kuroda going from NL West to AL East so good luck with all that.

Wilson def > Kuroda imo.

Well, are we talking about who is the better pitcher(s), or who will have the better numbers? I wasn't exactly adjusting for division/competition/dh.

Matt Moore is clearly better than CJ Wilson
MLB Offseason Thread 2011-2012: Sponsored by the AL East Quote

for 2012? no way

edit: ehhh i guess moore has extreme good upside while wilson just is what he is so maybe it's close for the gamble, but still i think i'd snap crossbook Wilson > Moore in ERA+ for 2012, and he'll have more IP
