7/$234mil They realize that even though he may be the best 3b in the game they dun goofed spending that much money when they don't have the squad, farm, or money in place to win the whole thing.

edit: Opt out after 2 years, so he's def staying in Col for the next 2 years, nobody wants to trade prospects for that.

I'm still bitter over what they did to Camargo last year

It just seems pretty bad to take a guy coming off an age-24, 116 wRC+ full season playing competent 3B/SS, and making him a spot player. Not even a Zobrist type supersub, just an occasional spot guy
