We have worse. Looking through that guy's last 5 ballots, he has always been a small hall guy and never wavers on people. He added Edgar in his last year, but other than that, pretty consistent. But then we have this guy:

Yes, he dropped Bonds, Clemens, Pettitte, Ramirez, Schilling, and Vizquel just so he can be an attention seeking whore only voting for Jeter. lol idiot

Here is my twitter comment on Jeter:

Quote:
I'm saying he doesn't deserve to be the second 100% player, and David Ortiz deserves a 10 year stay on the ballot and getting in the back door like Jack Morris and Harold Baines.

Think Chavez gets in if were all defense. At least to my young dopey mind, he was the coolest third basemen.

I remember a Houston pitcher having a great curve in the early 2000's. Wade Miller?

Could have been Dotel who was also incredible in MVP baseball.

I remember Tim Wakefield was awesome in some late 90s baseball game on the Nintendo 64.

I may be thinking of Wade Miller, but he might have thrown a slider. Still, it was devastating.

Dotel was a pitcher I thought was underrated and always hoped the Phillies would pick up.

Was Zito's curve really not that amazing or something?

He's the first guy that comes to mind and hasn't been mentioned.

Every team from Little League up steals signs. Yankees are stealing $26 million from Jacoby Ellsbury.

I sorta recall having signs in the 10u rec league. When I was on, the the coach would point at the base I should steal and tilt his head. I think since it was easy he didn't even bother, lol.

The most serious sign interpreter was on the 11u tournament team. Of course the son lacked fundamentals, having been drilled in the eye during outfield practice at one point.

The source said the investigation confirmed the scheme as described by Fiers was used during a period of about three months during the 2017 regular season. The source added that the investigation is also pursuing whether the Astros used modified systems to acquire signs in the 2017 postseason, when scrutiny is heightened and the banging of a trash can would be more manifest.
So outfield camera + trash can banging confirmed. Whistling in the postseason next?

The White Sox have placed Yolmer Sanchez, the 2019 AL Gold Glove winner at second base, on outright waivers, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Sanchez was projected to make about $6 million through arbitration in 2020 and the ChiSox deemed that too expensive for a well-below-average hitter, even if he saves so many runs defensively.
Work stoppage coming after next season.

I'm sure he is capable of being a fine pitcher for some organization, but from a personal standpoint, he was one of the most brutal players I've ever watched play for us.

Seems like a good deal to me, for the Rangers. They have SP, and if they hadn't been run by cokehead warmongers, they'd be in a good spot.

gibson had a high babip last year (330) and a ridiculous HR/FB% at 20.4%, which was a career high. Was only 14.8% the year before, had a high 18.3% two years ago, then 11.1% three years ago, 14.5% four years ago, and 11.4% five years ago. His xFIP was 3.80 and his K/9 9.00.

That seems like another very smart SP signing similar to the Minor/Lynn ones where they got under market price for the production by focusing on the predictive stats instead of the results. 10 milly a year is nothing.

Minor/Lynn/Gibson this year for $29.3mm combined is awesome.

Watching him try and nibble at the corners with his shitty fastball was just awful

His BABIP has been .330 three times in the past four years, seems like a him problem. His HR/FB % is one of the highest in baseball over the past 4 years. He walks too many guys, gives up a lot of hits, he is a turd
