Raffy Palmeiro hit just 47 HRs through his first 5 seasons, and became one of the game's most prolific HR hitters. 3,020 hits (I was present for #2,999), ****ing piles of runs and steaks, more walks than Ks, best MVP finish was a single 5th.

I loved watching him. Beautiful stroke.

David Price paid $250,000 out of his own pocket to Dodgers minor leaguers without ever playing a game for the Dodgers, and then foregoed (forewent?) his salary for the year for a Covid sitout. What an awesome guy.

Me being a skeptic probably thinks the owners have offered the players like 1/3rd of their prorated 60 game schedule to sit out as a cost savings measure.

I don't even know why they're going on with this charade. Give the players some money and officially cancel the season. Maybe ESPN and FS1 are trying to get them to drag it out for some talking points on their shouting shows.

So pretty much every team already has diagnosed covid cases now before games have even started, including a bunch of asymptomatic guys who spent days working out with their teams this week. Now reports are that testing isn't getting done on schedule, so workouts are getting canceled. This isn't going to end well.
