I think Uncle Jerry's stadium shares the parking lot. I may have been misleading, I don't know the price of parking, but I've definitely paid 2 $20s in that area for parking.

Next time you go and pay for parking, take a $50 bill and rip it in half as a silent protest.

This way they have to tape it together to deposit it.

Spoiler:
FACE!

Anyone want any side action on the 2020 season?

I want up to $50 on under 50 regular season games played per team.

Other side wins if greater than 50 regular season games played. 49.5 to 50.5 will be a push.

Takers?

Id like to, but if the season is cut short it will already be painful enough.

I'll do this but only as a freeroll for you given how controversial our nfl bet ended.

It'll give me some new incentive to cheer for them to figure stuff out.

Well this bet could somehow end controversial as well!

There isn't going to be a season folks.

Oh my god that new Rangers stadium looks terrible. People complaining that the picture is a low angle shot and or from the back of the stadium but anyway you put it, just terrible. Looks like something from the early 70s. Maybe it’s a great experience from the inside but can’t see how. $0.5B for that? It’s so DFW.

I thought the over/under was on 50 games for next season. Can I get in on that under 50 for 2020?

I want to see baseball, but I really wish they'd just call whatever this "season" is an exhibition. It's going to be ridiculously short, maybe never finish, have a bunch of weird one-off rule changes, and a bunch of players are already opting out. If there's even a world series champion crowned, they're going to have as big an asterisk as the 2017 Astros.

Very optimistic to think the weird rule changes will be one-off. "The man on second in extra innings rule was a ratings bonanza!...we think. It's now permanent, plus games tied after 12 innings will now be decided by a home run derby."

I also think a runner on 2nd in extra innings will be here to stay.

Who wants to stay up to watch a 16 inning game finish anyway?

If we get to keep one thing after this season keep the Universal DH.

Me. There have been some epic extra extra innings games. Muncy off Eovaldi in the World Series being one. And I’ll take home run derby over runner on second as a better means of deciding games. It’ll keep fat asses like Jesus Aguilar employed longer and everyone should want that

One thing I don't understand about the runner on 2nd rule.

Bottom of 9th, Tim Anderson on first. Grandal gaps one, and they nail Timmy at the plate, on to the 10th. Will TA or YG be the runner in the 10th?

It's dumb, analyzing it is dumbxdumb.

Extra long inning games were probably a third of the times baseball reached national consciousness last year.

Long, intense games are a feature.

Its not a matter of analysis, its a question of the rule.

Seems like it would be, but they say it's who made the last out.

Imagine 1st and 2nd, and runner from 2nd is nailed at the plate. The runner from 1st will be the designated runner? Or the guy with the base hit, likely.

Ok, $50 booked. Not sure if I want to win or lose.

I just looked and we had 3 $20 bets that were live after the Conner one was a push, so in the same ballpark.

Yea I'm a sick who loves the super long games but I understand most people don't.
That world series game was awesome.

I went to a 19 inning Yankees game a few years ago and there probably weren't 300 people left in the 9th.

As a kid I remember my mom wouldn't let me go to a double header with my friends. First game went 17 innings. They stayed for all 26. I was at home pissed off.
