Did Markakis even try to talk to other teams? That's ridiculous value for the Barves. Hard to believe he couldn't have gotten much more.

He 100% deserves 100%, dont be douchey about him being the first because other douches have been douchey about the unanimous thing.

Yeah, it pissed me off when players like Randy Johnson didn't get 100%, but yes every voter should have Mo as one of their 10 votes.

Prizm, I think any player as successful as Biggio, Jeter, and Mauer who play their careers with one team definitely should be in. They are iconic players for those teams' fans and deserve to be represented. I don't really think Edgar falls into the same category as those hombres though.

Why shouldnt he? What case could be made against voting for him?

Tom Verducci today said he started voting for Edgar when he heard many of the best pitchers of the era say Edgar was the toughest out they had to get.

How can you be unanimous when your biggest moment everyone remembers is failure?

This is like Buckner getting in.

Hurt,

He deserves it, I'm just going by the precedence of how somehow he could be perceived as greater than Griffey, Mays, Mantle, Ruth, etc.

Thats what I meant by continuing with the douchiness. Those guys weren't unanimous because other guys werent. It doesn't ****ing matter. Just vote for who belongs in the HOF.

But with a 10 player limit, there could be strategy to use that 10th vote for someone besides him to help their cause.

Oswalt and Berkman got boned by not getting those 10th votes. But, I agree with you hurt, you are either a HOFer or you aren't.

the 2020 ballot is lol after Jeter.

the 2021 ballot is straight lol.

Very possible to see a route for Walker and Schilling to get in by then. Edit: walker's last year is 2020. gonna be tough.

Here is the one problem I have with Rivera or any closer for that matter.

A). The only reason you became a closer is because you sucked as a starter
B). There is no way they are more valuable than a starter
C). Closer isn’t a real position. Pitching is the position, when you come into the game isn’t real. It was a contrived stat to increase payers salaries.
