I don't know how NFL contracts work, but why not Kyle cash in with his 1st round NFL pick and play a few years until the team doesn't want him any more, then try to get back into A- ball. Stan Bradford and Tom Tebow only lasted 4 years with their first teams. Murray would only be ~26.

John Wetteland. Jesus.

He's been on MLB net the last couple of days. I can't imagine his career as a commentator takes off. He is monotone and possibly the least enthusiastic person ever to do that type of work.

WTF is going on there. Especially for someone who made $33mil.

What does money have to do with it

To ensure he returns for the court appearances. He could afford to disappear himself rather than be locked up as a pedo for a good chunk of the rest of his life. It also assumes he isn't a threat to those around him while he is free. He's probably not supposed to be around kids or something while free, but cops and other people are lazy and/or stupid.

His 25k bond? Which seems extremely low for someone who has made that much.

Giants just hired 2 guys from Driveline baseball for FO.

Daniels was Driveline’s first full-time employee, and he helped founder Kyle Boddy grow the data-driven player development lab into the surging force it is today.

Maybe he's just broke...I would think though that even if he's not no way he's running. There goes his invite to Old Timers Day.

...Manny getting offered 7yrs 175mil from the White Sox...seems so...below market value.

Would a player ever take 1 yr 75 million? 10 years 500 for Harper is insane and I wouldn’t want the Yankees to do that. But 1 year 75 million, i would take my shot.

Lozano claiming the 7/175 offer for Machado is false, as well as Nightingale's reporting

Reporters, agents, and FO's all play games to manipulate the numbers trying to get the best deal.

Reporters get a "scoop", agents potentially get more money and negotiating power, FO's potentially pay less money and get more negotiation strength.

Of course. Take 75 this year and get the 10 years next winter.

I was also surprised to hear 7/175, though that appears to not be accurate. But basically only the White Sox and Phillies are in pursuit, and it appears the Phils have other priorities.

Every team in the league should sign him if it's 7/175 lol. Not a chance

Baseball fans in general suck cuz on average they’re old and stupid and any concept of change scares and angers them but my god. Besides crads fans I can’t think of a worse fan base than the giants

I still don't buy that there are very many actual SF Giants fans. They sell out regularly because it is an awesome stadium in a densely populated city. Real fans, or pseudo fans, bitching about a team that just won 3 WS cheeses me.

Huh...I thought most Giants fans were hipsters and stat nerds. Guess not.

From MLB Net.

What pitcher has the most postseason strikeouts of all time?

They gave the top 3.

Attenders of Giants Games are definitely nerds, and make more more money than me, but not stats nerds in the sports way.
