Love the Matt Moore signing for the Tigers. Small chance he figures it out and can be flipped for a top 100 prospect come July, but a very big chance he's dog**** and will help in the #TankTrain efforts.
Tigers have a legit shot at the #1 overall pick again in 2020. The only small thing potentially holding us back is playing in a division with the Sox/Royals/Twins. I still think losing 100 is possible this season.
I want absolutely NO ONE with any sort of long term value brought up this season. If you wanna give Funkhouser a few August/September starts, fine. Willi Castro, idc how good he performs this season. He does not see the majors next season.
Three straight picks in the top 5 of the draft, along with our already potent farm system, is going to solidify us for the next decade in the central. We will be ready to roll right when Cleveland is falling off.
This is how I would rank our current top 10 prospects:
1. Matt Manning RHP
2. Isaac Paredes IF (lol cubs)
3. Casey Mize RHP
4. Daz Cameron CF
5. Parker Meadows OF
6. Beau Burrows RHP
7. Franklin Perez RHP
8. Willi Castro SS
9. Alex Faedo RHP
10. Jake Rogers C
Manning & Mize have clear, unquestioned ace potential.
Paredes is one of the best teenage bats to come through the minor leagues in recent years. You just don't do what he did in the FSL as a 19 year old.
The biggest wild card in our farm system is Franklin Perez. A guy who has top of the rotation stuff...also a guy that we really haven't seen pitch yet.
System is super pitching heavy, maybe a top 3 system in baseball as far as arms are concerned. A little light on the bats, but with all the money coming off the books for this team, when the pitching is ready, whatever holes we have on offense we will be able to fill via free agency.
This will be a team built from the ground up, I can't wait to start sweating those reverse standings in the draft pick race.
Syndergaard is obsessed with velo, and even if he comes back, he'll never be the same, and if he comes back, he won't be that good for very long with the Mets' training staff.
All the Todd Fraziers and Curtis Grandersons and Jose Bautistas of the world of free agency can't save that sinking ship
I’m glad to hear Mets fans are tripping over possible Cano trade because us Mariners fans aren’t loving the returns we’ve seen. I’m guessing Alonso is untouchable?
