The mariners got no-hit thru 7 innings earlier this year at a game I was at by Wei-Yin Chen.

I think it would be really fun to run a no hitter auction pool where everyone bids on teams with real $$$ and that's how they are assigned.

RBK

Would be cool but i suspect that bids would cluster more than you might imagine. I don't think that the difference in equity is that great among teams.

couldn't it be run like a fantasy auction?
and if the top teams go for ridic high values then there becomes value in trying to pick teams likely to get no hit and go for the smaller prize pool.

and could make it so your are committed to repurchasing the same team at least once if a no hitter is thrown.

dunno I'm sure we could come up with some other fun twists to make it work and have more sweats.

maybe have the prize for having a team who gets no hit be the larger % and the team who throws the no no gets the smaller share as then there is alot more parity.

If we want something as rare as a no-no it has to be something like a 180 yard rushing game or a 475 yard passing game? Just thinking off the top of my head. Also none of those have the same tension and build as a no hitter (mainly because baseball is the best sport)

I would GAMBOL. There seems to be slight leans on what teams people don't want but trouble deciding who has the best of this. I like the Cubs , Mets and Dodgers in that order. Note that Eddy action Jackson , Homer Bailey and Ubaldo Jimenez all have no nos. Wikipedia offers some other interesting stuff .https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/No-hitter

I was thinking scoring over 50 or getting shut out. Or winning/losing by 40+

i don't follow the AL nearly as closely as the NL, but have to assume that the Royals are a good draw for the $250, no idea if they have much equity on the $500 side though (duffy maybe?)

Here's to hoping the Padres get no hit because they ain't throwing one

Duffy definitely has it in him, and weirdly despite him being like 35 and should fully be in the 'we know what he is' category I'm higher on Vargas than most. Def can't see Hammel ever doing it.

I like that! I also like the idea of a tie, could be very sweaty.

Do ties happen enough to make it a sweat though?
