I'm in. Not a "regular" in the MLB thread but post there.

Also, mlb at bat app has option to notify when any team has gone through 6 with a no-no going

In regard to good and bad teams

I think the braves would be a horrible draw. No one can throw a no no (Teheran) and they have decent enough hitters to probably not get no hit

Now watch fat old bartolo throw a no hitter

You're probably right. I was mixing in Scherzer's deep run the other night that cost me a W14 in Streak For The Cash.

I'll be in if the money is escrowed. We lost 2 long time posters to a $20 secret santa gift. Have everyone send $25 to start.

I'm in regardless but I would prefer if everyone sent money to start as well.

I like this idea, and it's what we're going to do. If sending $25 up front is a problem for you, let me know and I'll take you off the list.

Hopefully we'll get this thing kicked off tomorrow.

Why not just do $25 from everybody until the first no hitter is thrown? Then start a new pool if people want to get back in for the chance of there being another no-no.

Cruizn, you in or no?

Due to the request of many, escrows are going to happen. I'd like some more feedback from people regarding the cost of the pool. Would you rather have a flat entry cost of $20-$25, or start it off with $10 and add $5 each month as laid out in the OP? Most likely there won't be much of a difference in total cost for the season either way. One flat amount is definitely easier on me for collecting escrows.

What say you?

Flat entry cost

Flat entry, set it and forget it. $25 or $30.

Flat entry seems to be the least amount of work and hassle for everyone involved
MLB No Hitter Pool Quote

Well that allows for only one no hitter without having a recollection.

Based on this site: http://www.espn.com/mlb/history/nohitters

2010: 6
2011: 3
2012: 7
2013: 3
2014: 5
2015: 7
2016: 1

Which is 4.5 per year.

We could do something where 25% of pool goes toward the first 4 no hitters of the season, and if all 4 don't get hit, then the left over pool gets redistributed to the people who hit ones already.

Thoughts?
MLB No Hitter Pool Quote

So if this happened last year, 25% would be paid out, and then the people who already hit them would have an anti sweat of every potential no hitter the rest of the year so they could claim the entire prize pool.

And if more than 4 occur? Reload the pool after the 4th?
