There were 2 games that went to 2 outs in 9th? 2 other that went to the 9th? This was fun EC. You could probably steal my 50 and I wouldn't be that mad. Don't, though I want them squares even if I didn't really read or understand the setup.

So far I have 21 people confirmed IN, 3 that are out(one of those was my second entry I took over when somebody dropped out after the first no no), and 6 I haven't heard from yet. I just sent PM's to those 6 so hopefully we'll have an accurate head count within a few days.

If we end up at 26, I'll step aside to drop us to 25 so everyone gets 4 squares.

I'll step aside instead so you can play if that happens. No fun to be running the pool and not getting to play.

I appreciate that. We'll see how it shakes out when I hear from everyone else.

I've heard back from everyone, and we're at 26 entries, because of course we are. With 26 people, we have 2 options:

1)Somebody steps down, or two people agree to share an entry. This would give everyone 4 squares, and a prize pool of $1250. I'd pay $150 per game, with the balance going to the winner of the clinching game. If it goes 7 games, we'd have 6 $150 winners and a $300 winner. I would volunteer to sit out or share an entry. I have no issues running the pool while not participating.

2)We give everyone 3 squares and sell the rest. The current $1300 pool(26 x $50) puts the value of those 78 squares at $16.67. If I sell the last 22 for $17 each, we'd have a total prize pool of $1674. It would pay $200 per game, with the rest, a minimum of $474, going to the winner of the clinching game. A sweep pays $1074 to the big winner! Everyone who is currently in would have the first opportunity to buy more if they want to, before I open it up to other MLB regulars.

Because I know not everyone checks this thread, I'm not going to do a straight vote, but I would like a little feedback to see what people would prefer to do. Option #2 is my preference because nobody has to sit out, and it makes for a bigger prize pool.

What say you pool participants? We have a few weeks yet, so nothing has to be decided immediately.

3 squares seems the fairest, so everybody has been in the sweats gets to participate.

What happens if you don't sell all 22 extra squares?

It won't be a problem. There's too many degens on here that'll bet on anything. I'm 100% confident it'll fill.

I'll share with GW. Rebate mania!

TimM might be willing to buy up all the squares, he got his UB money.

Does that mean you're against giving everyone 3 and selling the extras? Or just being prepared in case we go with option 1?

Personally don't care. guess my preference lies with everyone having an even number of squares, but my feeling isn't a strong one.

I don't know what this means, but if involves gambling, I'll do it.

In that case, doesn't a short series leave us with leftover cash?

Nope. It pays X amount per game, with the balance going to the winner of the clinching game. A shorter series just means a bigger payout for the winner of the final game.
