We're about out of days for another no-no to get thrown. I'm definitely disappointed only one has been thrown so far. With the season ending in a few days, I'm going to give everyone who is in the pool two options.

1)Your escrow money gets returned during the upcoming week. If this is what you want, just PM me with your paypal info and I'll start returning money next week.

2)Keep your money in play. I'm going to run a World Series squares pool. For those of you who haven't done a squares pool for a series before, here is how it works:

The grid gets randomized and filled in just like is done for Superbowl squares. Unlike a football game that pays per quarter, this will pay per game, with the scores being cumulative. If game 1 is NL 4 - AL 3, the person who had 4/3 wins. If game 2 is NL 6 - AL 8, the cumulative score is now 10 - 11, so the person who has 0/1 would win. If game 3 is NL 5 - AL 1, we're at 15 - 12, so 5/2 would win, and so on till the series end. Because the scores are cumulative, there's no bad numbers.

I would like to run this just for people in this current pool. If 20 people opt in, everyone would get 5 squares and we'd have a prize pool of $1000. Payouts would be, based on a $1k pool, $100 to the winner of each game, with the balance going to the winner of the clinching game. If the series goes 6 games, you'd have 5 $100 winners for the first 5 games, then the winner of game 6 getting $500. These amounts would obv vary depending on how many people want to do it. If the number of people wanting in doesn't go into 100 an even amount, the extra squares would either be available for purchase, or I could assign multiple people to the extra squares so 5 people may split a winner. Whatever, those are details to work out later.

What I need from each of you between now and the end of the season Sunday, let me know if you want your escrow back, or if you want to get in the pool. Even if we only have 10 people getting in the pool, It's still going to run. You can post in here, or PM me. If you want your escrow returned, a PM will be needed with your paypal info.

If more no hitters happen to get thrown before the season is over, this whole post becomes pointless.

Yeah, it would take 2 no-no's to drain the escrow money completely. But even 1 makes the squares pool feel much more insignificant.
