Brewers have Davies in replacement of Gio, so I would assume Woodruff goes 3-4, Davies goes 3-4 if all goes well. Jeffress closes it. Cedeno is fresh, too. I would guess Soria could pitch a bit and while they would prefer not to have to, Knebel and Hader could face a batter or two if necessary. None of it matters if the Brewers can't hit. Cain/Yelich/Aguilar/Moose have really been bad.

Counsell's pitching moves have worked great this series. The only problem has been that Jeffress was shaky and Miley just walked the one guy he was there to face.

Now Miley is on regular/extended rest for the next game.


As a Brewers fan, it's frustrating that this series is 2-2. Should be at least 3-1 and maybe even over already. Feels like the Brewers have dominated except on the scoreboard. Been a great season, though - more than I expected. Hopefully it continues for another week-plus.

Brandon Webb is completely underrated. Didn't throw a pitch after 30, but only threw 4 innings in his age 30 season. His seasons in the majors by WAR:
6.2 3rd in ROY voting?!? Willis and his 4.4 WAR and Podsednik and his 3.6 WAR finished ahead. But Willis had #WINS, 14-6 vs. 10-9 for Webb.

Yes. I think Roberts knew this was going to happen, as that would explain the lefties in the lineup. Either that, or he understood that Miley wasn't going to go many innings, anyway, so he was willing to have his lefty mashers in there so he wouldn't run through bench bats.
