But let's assume (hopefully) any talk of a shutdown is short-term and it's to determine a long-term plan. Which, clearly, they did not. The NBA is still a risk, but it at least has a chance. Baseball never had a chance living normal life and pretending like no fans would be the only solution.

Regional, CWS style tournament that builds in quarantine time, bubble, whatever, there are options. But Manfred has to be realistic. 20% of the league was scheduled for a game today and didn't play. We are one week and one day in, the current setup is not going to work.

They’re not canceling season Monday. That’s the Commissioner trying to scare players into complying.

They do need to cut Miami out. Or move them. Too many players. It was never going to work there anyway. Nobody should travel to Miami.

If Miami is part and parcel of everything, they might as well call the season off.

especially since direct sunlight kills covid pretty quickly you'd think they would want a lot more day games.

It's a small sample but Luis Robert is the real deal. 4 hits tonight ( a triple shy of cycle). I can't wait for him to start stealing bases. I have never seen anyone faster to first base and he can cover so much outfield its ridiculous. Just looks like a pure natural hitter. This guy is the next big thing in baseball.
