With his arm angle, they have been writing the same article every year he’s pitched. It’s only a matter of time before his elbow explodes. I mean it should, but he’s probably just a freak of nature having lasted this long.

I read somewhere that because they basically have perfected making baseballs, the trampoline effect has increased dramatically, whereas in the past 2 out of every 10 baseballs were made absolutely perfect. Not sure how much stock to put in that, but on the surface it certainly makes sense.

I'm normally a staunch anti bunt guy but bottom 9 1st n 2nd 0 outs tie game n joc up a guy who is most likely to strike out fly out or homer I'm wondering what the math says about bunting there.

It's fine assuming he knows how to bunt, but That's on the coaches if he doesn't. Apparently he does, 13 bunt pas, 5 sacs and 3 hits.

Conforto slaps one the other way against the shift results in 2 runs for Mets. I hope more guys decide to be smarter hitters when shifted on.

Lefty power hitters have spent their whole lives pulling the ball, it isn't that easy for Chris Davis or fat papi to start slapping it the other way.
