Being mononymous requires having a somewhat uncommon name too. Mike Trout will never just be Mike because that name is too common. Even Jordan wasn't known as just Mike.

He had a great second half 2017 when he got traded to the O's. Then he got hurt early 18 and never bounced back but seems to be bouncing now.
