Just saw VGJ's 4th inning fly that Pinder made a great leaping catch at the wall on. That had an EV of 89.6mph. I'm curious how many homers have velos under 90. Can't be many.

Don’t blame the camera person one bit for being faked out here. Jr. makes the bat look like a lightsaber, just like his dad did. Nice catch too.

The answer is 2 of 1027! Robinson Chirinos hit one 87.2 MPH and Eugenio Suarez hit one 86.7MPH. All others are at least 90.

Savant search of all HR's so far

Took this a step further... in the statcast era (2015-present) there have been 50 hr's with EV <90MPH, but I can't see to find a way to sort inside-the-parkers. Ruben Tejeda hit one 74.5mph, the slowest of the era, but that's an inside the parker. Next slowest is off Matt Adams' bat at 76.6mph and a 40 deg launch angle. No idea if that's what I call a barely-ball that sneaks over the fence or if it's an ITP. 76 sounds ridiculous though. MLB has AIDS now and doesn't leave video up on their website or access to old games through mlb.tv so maybe a cards fan remembers this one?

Fairly easy, but one of them did it last night. From an ESPN graphic the 4 fastest pitchers to 2,500 strikeouts in terms of innings pitched?

Bobby Witt, Jr, is the top ranked prospect by Perfect Game in the Class of 2019[8] and is committed to play college baseball at the University of Oklahoma
Gross. Hopefully he makes the proper decision to go pro. I vaguely remember Bobby Witt taking a perfect game into the ninth before blowing it, but it could have been a different Ranger.

edit: nevermind it was Kenny Rogers perfect game that I was thinking of.

It's Matt Adams. No way in hell he's ever hit an ITP.

Yep, but some reliever got 100% and not Randy.

Unless Chris Sale retires this year, he won't be up top for long.

It's actually mental to me that there's 1.29 K/9 between Sale and Nolan in first and tenth, another 1.29 K/9 down is 8.26 which is all the way down to 46th-47th.
