The Harper bat-flip. I mean I really didn't need any more reasons to dislike him, but he delivered. That was lame.... Not sure why he gets so much hype.

It is like him and Trout are supposed to be the Griffey/Bonds debate from years ago, but I don't see Harper as good as Betts, let alone being worthy of comparison with Trout.

Ump (Ron Culpa sp.) needs to be suspended. That is an embarrassing display from him. Just keeps staring in the dugout after making two horrendous calls and has this smug look on his face, just waiting to throw someone out. Stares in the dugout some more then throws someone out. Then has the audacity to say "I can do whatever the **** I want." GFY man

That ump is a turd bird for sure, but I still encourage everyone to bet against the Astros until their lineup heats up, if you like money.

Seems like a pretty normal game despite Cole and the Astros being totally furious the entire night. I know they had a whole thing in spring training about thinking umpires are against them. Seems like a weird mental thing going on with them.

Did you watch the video linked two posts above you? The ump's conduct is the main issue, not just the horrible call.

The ump daring the stros to question his calls by staring down at the dugout and then stating "I can do whatevever I want" is what the problem is.

Obviously the umpire's behavior was awful and he deserves to be suspended for the staring and the "i can do whatever i want". Didn't really think it was necessary to say that but I guess here we are?

I was looking into why Cole and the manager/bench coach were furious in the first place before everything escalated thinking that I'd find a ton of atrocious calls and instead it seemed like a pretty reasonable strike zone that wasn't in anyones favor. Found it interesting so posted it. Then I compared it to them doing something similar in spring training and wondering whats going on with the "umpires are picking on us" mentality they have going this year and was hoping for someone to clue me in on some more instances I might have missed that would explain it more.
