Dbacks gonna win 3 of 4 vs Brewers this weekend to move into a wildcard spot. Then go 6-1 vs Orioles and Marlins next week to probably move to the top wildcard. Why do they play a Friday-Monday series vs Miami?

Finally somebody with a brain. Don’t you just miss the old days where you put the ball in play and things happen? I was at the game vs the Mariners where Bernie ties it with a solo shot in the 8th and Jeter hit the walk off in the 9th. Make contact, get hits, score runs, win games, those were the days.

Jeets career 0.02 WPA in the playoff. With a 1 meaning he would have added 1 win offensively. This doesn't even factor in the atrocious defense. Arod was a +1. Regular season Arod had a +10.6 dWar while Jeets had -8.6 dWAR. What a great team leader being selfish and keeping himself at SS.

BTW that Eddy post is a perfect encapsulation of the Jeter legend. Eddy vividly remembers Jeter getting the clutch hit in that game because he always got the clutch hits when in reality it was someone else while Jeter went 0-4 with a K.

Trout will have more career WAR by the end of this season than Jeter.

Jeter played 2747 games and had 3465 hits and 72.4 WAR
Trout has played 1155 games and has 1282 hits and 70.5 WAR
(42% of games, 37% of hits, 97% of WAR)
