Watched the highlight of this from the O’s broadcast. There was a long pause of silence after he ball landed in the stands where I was a little afraid the announcer just jumped out of the window.

8 games still to play against the O’s.

In 2018 this is what Tulo told the jays

Quote:
"I just said I'm a shortstop. If someone's better than me, I'll pack my bags and go home," Tulowitzki said.
Jays responded by releasing him..

Tulo just told the Yankees he is willing to play different positions when he returns from his calf injury.. lol

Tulugimpski must be watching Torres vrs Baltimore and realizing that he is not even the 2nd best option at SS...

Is it time to get hyped for the Twins or are they just running super hot and about to crash back to mediocrity? It's been so long since they've been good, and over half their games left are in division.

Can they compete with the Astros, Yankees?

Fangraphs gives them a 80% chance to win the division and 90% to make the playoffs. Their .532 rest of season projected winning percentage is pretty far off the Astros (.602) though, but similar to the Rays and Indians.

It’s hard to fluke having the second best RD through almost 2 months. Plus super weak division means they’re incredibly likely to make the playoffs. After that it’s a crapshoot and obv they can compete with astros/yanks even if they’re underdogs.

I like Odorizzi, Martin Perez and Berrios. Not sold on Gibson or Pineda.

They have a nice mixture of offense, and Nelson Cruz hasn't been playing for a minute, as he's been hurt. Buxton has been coming on recently, and he's batting 9th.

Taylor Rogers is a stud in their pen.

It looks like Pineda hasn’t had the best luck so far, so I expect his numbers to improve. Always thought Gibson is an absolute dumpster fire, but that’s my own personal bias.

Fully expect us to continue to curb stomp, run away with the division and then lose to the Yankees in 5.

Also I’m shocked that the Indians’ season plan of signing Hanley and Cargo and batting them 4th/5th everyday didn’t work out.

I was just coming in here to post about him. Dude is hotter than **** right now.

Coming into this season, only 3 balls had been hit into the river, he has done it twice in May.

Games with 6+ HRs:
Twins have 4 (including two games with 8 HRs)
Rest of MLB combined has 3

It's been a while since there has been a corked bat bust. Is that still a thing in bp and what not?

I'm still not sure how their season win total was 88.5 going into this year. Hoping for more free money next year.

Giolito looks really good now. Dominating the Astros tonight. 2 innings through 5 without a ball thrown.

He has been pretty awesome all season. He drastically changed his arm movement from sorta swingy to more compact and it has resulted in him becoming much more effective. He is finally living up to the prospect hype. It often takes a while for these guys to figure it out but it seems he has. That said I am surprised they sent him out for the 8th.

Last start was his first CG but it only went 5 from rain. Would love to see him get it tonight and would be a confidence booster. They did hit a couple of at'em balls though in the 8th.
