Has losing become a way of life? Ask your doctor if Papelbon is right for you.

If I considered the Royals winning baseball games a laughing matter, I would lol Anusmouth. As it is, I do not.

I guess my issue is that Papi is still playing well, and he's a DH so there's no reason to suggest he can't continue. The Red Sox are even supposed to have a team option for next year that they would surely exercise.

All those other guys were pretty clearly done while playing their last season, and they weren't full time DH's on a contending team (what wore could a 40 year old baseball player dream of being?)

I mean, eventually, you have enough money, you're tired of living out of a suitcase and you"re ready to stay home and raise your kids. How is that hard to understand?

I guess. Just seems like the greatest gig ever I'd ride it out there's dozens of years for everything else. I'd definitely play until nobody wanted me anymore.

Gotta agree. That and MVP 2005 are the only two games I play from time to time.
Have a 7 year old franchise for the royals that won 4 world series in 7 years in sim mode. With their current style. I was ahead of the curve.

I seriously wanna cry. Auto-fading Danks was the free-est of free money.

Reds broke the MLB record tonight. 21 games in a row where the bullpen gave up a run. Officially the worst in MLB history. So proud of my team!

To get a sense of just how bad our bullpen is... Samardzija, who has a .140 career batting average, was so mad he struck out against Caleb Cotham that he broke his bat over his knee.

Pouring one out for the best DFS target since I started playing. Amazing he still had a rotation spot as of 24 hours ago.

As for Braun, Jesus, the MVP thing wasn't really the point, that was just me throwing shade at a d-bag cheater. The point was that a roided out of his mind Braun, in his prime, during a career year, couldn't OBP .400/ I don't think this brittle, crippled and dying old disgraced cheater is going to hit .400.

Bryan Price is trying to outdo Dusty.

Quote:
Finnegan felt his left hamstring grab at him after the third inning, not the sixth. But with one of Major League Baseball’s most unreliable and overworked bullpens, manager Bryan Price’s calculus was that Finnegan could power through another three frames to save the rest of the staff.
Bullpen is now literally so bad that our manager would rather risk serious injury to a starter than roll the dice with a relief pitcher.

The only issue was the battery would reset after a while and you would lose everything, but yes GOAT.

Baseball Stars tho

EDIT: Since you never played it, it was the first NES game where you could actually create players and build up their abilities. Hint: Play the Lovely Ladies in exhibition games for the most revenue.

earl weaver baseball was the only one i ever got hooked on. we huddled around my compaq sowing machine for many years

the graphics and crappy gameplay that came later made baseball games unplayable for many many years.

TJ Quinn reporting that more suspensions are coming, but "no major names are involved". The MLBTR writeup mentions that recent improvements to testing have made it so that turinabol, which used to only be detectable in the blood stream for only a week, is now detectable for a lot longer, which figured into the Cola bust.
