Are you ****ing serious? So Jordan is not the greatest if he doesn't win a title every season he played? You think Tim Duncan, a world class player and all time great is less because he won 5 in just under 20 years?

What's your ****ing point here?

Was bron tanking when he lost so many times in the finals? No, he gave it his all and came up short. Just like everybody else who isn't holding the trophy at the end. This argument is horse**** and demeans the players and the game.

The point is that losing before the finals isn't better than losing in the finals. LeBron has 2, Jordan has 6 right now. LeBron getting some extra tries because he carried garbage teams to the finals shouldn't be a strike against him, it should be a positive.

The only time he really hasn't performed is the 2011 finals. In almost every other playoff series he has performed at some of the highest levels we've seen from any player. 2011 finals was the outlier, not the norm.

My point is that you emphasize that he got 6 rings from "6 tries". What the **** was he doing the other 7 seasons if he wasn't "trying"? He won 6 times which is amazing and a huge argument for him being the GOAT, but you talk like he 'never failed' because he never happened to lose at the last hurdle. He failed to win the titles all through the 80s. It's not a blight on his record, just a fact. Much like LeBron making the Finals in 2007 and losing isn't a blight on his record either (in fact it's one of his greatest achievements).

Look I basically agree with you at a high level, but the arbitrary cutoff of making the final for which years "count" is clearly cherry picked because of MJs perfect record and notagoodlook if you're trying to be serious in this argument.

5/12 > 2/12 on the other hand is a perfectly fine argument. Or "MJ never failed to win in a year he had a super team around him like LBJ in 2011". Or "MJ topped PER for 7 seasons and WS for 9, LBJ only managed 6 and 5 and doesn't look like doing it again". Or probably countless others...

You're talking about the toughest era in NBA history. He'd be a better version of Thurl Bailey. That's my best objective guess.

Baseball? Bron is taking his talents to San Fran.

Imagine LeBron and Jerry rice as wide receivers?

Montana would just have to do random hail mary lobs.

Understanding that the only person making the 100% > 40% argument is Stoy, who is well known to be completely ignorant, makes it easy to understand and ignore. It's his argument only, and it's stupid, everyone else knows this.

It's funny how analytics driven the general basketball talk is but when you show a large sample size of championship rounds and one is 6/6, the other 2/5 that numbers no longer matter. GTFO

Ok new question, if you were to play 4 on 4 with MJ/Lebrons all time supporting cast (i.e. best 4 players they played with over their careers) which 4 wins? I'm guessing MJ's looks like:-
Pippen
Kukoc?
Rodman
Grant

vs

Irving
Wade
Love
Bosh
?

What about this statement doesn't make sense: "No one disagrees that Jordan should get props for 6 championships. Everyone disagrees that LeBron should be punished for making 5 Finals. 5/5 Is better than 2/5, but 2/5 is better than 2/2. 6/6 is better than 3/6, but 6/6 is not better than 6/13."

If MJ made the Finals every season he played, and instead of 6/6 he was 6/13, is he now worse? His finals exits are now worse than his 1st round exits? If LeBron wins 7/13, is he still worse?

I just don't understand how this is so hard for you to understand, and would like to try to make you understand so you can stop making this same argument that is the WOAT, and get on to other things. The statement above is literally every single intelligent person's viewpoint, and I'm just wondering if you disagree. If you do, sure, then just continue on being an idiot. If you don't, please just stfu already because we know what your argument is and we agree, you're just phrasing it in a stupid way that is wrong.

Nobody would even remember Pippen except as a whiny bitch if he hadn't played with Jordan. Only top tier support Jordan had was Rodman, who was basically a modern day Bill Russell (and has more championships than Lebron). Nobody like Wade or Irving playing with him.
