If Bron were committed to deferring to Curry, then Bron/Curry is the GOAT 1-2 and just surround them w/ almost any other collection of GOATs.

Roles is where things get muddied w/ those 2 though.

Paul and a bunch of receivers along w/ Jordan as the single 1 on 1 guy/slasher (obv Durant can but he wouldn't on this team and he'd be okay with it w/ his personality) just fits really really well and I think Paul is the GOAT actual pg.

KG would also get bowled over against peak Shaq. Maybe that wouldn't matter because 3>2 though, I concede.

Other thing that throws everything off re: team construction is that Curry is so unbelievable shooting off the dribble. Otherwise you'd just put him at 2 on offense and pair him with Magic or something. He doesn't really need to be set up much, he'd be so amazing w/ Bron. Kawhi would be a great 2 or 3 w/ those two also.

Two best teams I can create. I think the second team is prbly superior but the first team is just going to be such a smooth smooth offensive team. A real well oiled machine.

Team 2 is superior defensively and would prbly win the slight majority of trials. Team 1's offensive floor from trial to trial is insane though.

that's how Phoenix ****ed up their entire roster by telling Dragic "you're a fulltime 2 now, it's cool" and having Bledsoe, Dragic, and IT2 on the same team. IT2 was a team cancer on the floor there, and leader guy AS on Bos after.

It's not the NFL with the QB position; Peyton/Luck, Favre/Rodgers, Montana/Young, etc but it's not totally disparate

You can only have one guy with the ball in his hands the bulk of the time, early Miami w/ Wade and Bron took turns until Wade acquiesced. Why did he do so? Because you can't have two quarterbacks.

So sure if Bron was just going to be defensive guy, but then why they hell are you putting him on the team unless it's to do LeBron stuff? And no, Bron isn't just automatically a better defender than Kawhi w/ more focus.

i can't remember enough about that dragic situation but his stats playing SG that year were noticeably better (obvs except assist). not saying attitude problems aren't an issue but i was under the impression that our team is representing the world and egos would be pushed aside in favour of winning and saving humanity.

and for yr examples, i'm sure there are counter examples somewhere. eg. Love & Kyrie + Lebron being a better 'fit' than Bosh & Wade + Lebron... (but it taking Bosh to buy into the duties necessary and change his gameplay).
