I didn't think there was much separation between NYK, Bulls and Rockets that year. So yeah if you just say "from 3x champs to out in the second round" it sounds kind of dramatic but for losing the GOAT coming off his most sensational Finals performance in 93 the team held up pretty well. I mean they were really just that close from being in the Finals again. It's not like they lost 40 games and got smoked in the first round as an 8 seed. They were title contenders.

Like I said they were a good team. Equal 7th best team by record. A very good team that exceeded my (and everyone's) prediction.

It would depend a lot on what KD/Klay/Kawhi decide to do in free agency this summer.

If KD leaves GS this summer and joins Lebron in LA, they could win 2 rings together and that still probably wouldn't be enough for me.

But if Lebron were to beat the KD+Steph warriors this year, that would be enough for me to switch from the MJ side over to the Lebron side even if the Lakers didn't ring.
