Same question as above ^^. Anyone get or give anything cool this year? Anyone get tickets to “the big game” as a gift or something? Ie - rose bowl, sugar bowl, nfl game etc.

Basically how I felt about all of my gifts. Got socks, undershirts and underpants and couldn't be happier.

I got zero gifts this year and I was totally happy with it.

So I’m going to list off things in 2018 that I can reflect on that made me happy:

1. The greatest sports story of my lifetime, the redemption of SHUSTAHHHHHHHH. How often do you get somebody who chokes in multiple Olympics get another shot at glory. Then they look like they’re going to be a letdown again. They get to a point where they are legitimately 10000-1 to win a Gold Medal. Win out, get the help they need to even get into the playoff rounds, and crush it to take home the Gold. Truly the heroes we needed.

2. John Beilein continuing to be an incredible basketball coach. Takes Michigan to a National Title game where they run into a buzzsaw, then follows that up by losing a huge chunk of the roster and having an undefeated start to 2018-2019. Dude is smart, insightful, squeaky clean in possibly the dirtiest of sports, and I’m very happy he’s the coach of my team

3. The stock market dip. I liquidated my short term stock accounts to pay for a wedding in August. Getting married was awesome, having a big wedding was awesome and totally worth it. F the haters. Side note: There wasn’t that much in the accounts. And on the bright side, shady ass tax cuts were passed to make rich people even richer. Those rich people used that money to buy stocks, and their companies used it on stock buybacks, all of which have now dipped by 20+ percent. Brings a big Christmas smile to my face.

What else is SE thankful for on this Christmas Day?
