Holtz was an elite coach back in the 80's with Arkansas and then Notre Dame. He earned his money as much as any coach does.

The absolute BEST scenario for a ND truther is that

A: Manti Te'o is dumber than a bag of rocks. Sure, he told some white lies about how they met out of embarrassment, but he was legit fooled. Everything he's said recently has been accurate (found out Dec 6th, told ND Dec 26th, was legit shocked, etc). He is one of the dumbest and/or most gullible people in the world. He first interacted with fake-Lennay in 2009 and over 4 years never saw her once or even skyped and fell in love with her. Historically dumb.

B: Despite being historically dumb, he was also cynical/smart enough to play up the relationship to a huge degree. He repeatedly lied about the relationship to the MSM over and over and over and over and over. Some of it was out of embarrassment because he didn't want to say they had never met, but not all of it. He played it up for the attention without a doubt. He said she was the most beautiful person he'd ever met. Wanted to see her again one day. Love of his life. He met her in Stanford in person and in Hawai'i. Talked to her every single night, sometimes for 8-10 hours. These are outright lies and exaggerations. etc etc etc. He exploited the **** out of a twitter-conversation-partner level relationship, essentially, and we have dozens of interviews that catch him in lies.

C: There exists someone who hates him enough or is a big enough troll to undertake a years-long hoax on him. Years long. Potentially up to 4 years of faking, even if Te'o exaggerated/lied about the time, still 1-2 years. This person orchestrated a years long hoax that involved daily contact, fake family, fake social media accounts, getting a girl to converse with Manti every night, etc. A massive operation.

How can you possibly believe in all three of those things. How?
