Since it's concrete that he never met his GF in IRL now. How many pics did he get to go off of? If he didn't get a whole slew of other pics over that amount of time then that's even worse for Te'o, and pretty easy to verify. And, if not all the pics are HS classmate, and some are Kekua or someone different... how do you not notice the difference? He also refused to provide more pics of her which leads me to believe he didn't have very many that hadn't already been used.

A) Tuiasosopo pic collected a ton of photos from former HS classmate and sent them to Te'o. B) Tuiasosopo and Kekua sent a mixture of pics, and Te'o doesn't notice the difference. C) Tuiasosopo sends a few pics, and Te'o goes all mormon. D) Tuiasosopo and Te'o just use the pics and hope the girl doesn't find out.

By the way, how the hell does the HS classmate not find out until now??? Nobody in her entire life notices her face plastered all over the media as Teo's GF that died of Leukemia? Amazing.

deadspin uncovers Te'o gf is fake , they find out the picture used for lennykay twitter account is from another girl who has never met te'o , they also have trouble finding anyone with that name ever dying in carson city or ever attending stanford

sources claim Ronaiah Tuiasosopo a high school friend of te'o (and possibly still close friend ,hung out as recently as USC-ND game) was in charge the lennakay twitter accounts .

sources also claim the lennaykay account had other relationships with several other people but they didnt go to far since the "marks" got suspicious early on .

ND then backs te'o claiming that he was duped and that they had known about the hoax since dec 26th and had conuducted their own investigation... ND Press conference video.(there are still questions on whether te'o ever met lennakay , (a few interviews point out he said he had met her in person ,)

there are two twitter accounts that say they are seen joking about lennaykay's death being fake a few months ago... source .....There's still a question whether they were in on it or not , but it looks like plenty of people knew Ronaiah Tuiasosopo was behind the fake gf's twitter account

If this turns out to be true and it really was all about Heisman publicity i'm going to be a little disappointed.

Stephen A Smith brought the heat, and basically expressed everything that the more cynical (smartest and absolutely correct obv) posters in here said. Which is better than any other talking-head thus far; tiptoeing around the subject and not wanting to give an opinion like a bunch of vaginas.

So basically everyone is in agreement there's no possible way he can be 100% not at fault in all of this. At the BARE minimum, he could have been hoaxed but he definitely led people into thinking it was more than just an internet relationship.

My theory: He was hoaxed in the beginning but decided to run with it in order to gain publicity for the heisman and not have to admit he was hoaxed due to the embarrassment he would face from his peers/media. His father even lied and stated that he met the gf in person, which is complete fabrication.
