Unless something just crazy comes out I would bet that Te'o's final position on this will be that he was initially fooled by a hoax and that the g/f story spun out of control and he felt compelled to just go with it

What's even more amazing is that this girl was supposedly a Stanford student, we played Stanford later in the season, and no one tried to put together a human interest story for the game and put two and two together. This whole thing is just unreal
