The consistent pauses after every phrase to me were indicative of someone not using their natural voice and needing to pause to catch their breath/recalibrate to keep up the altered voice. And while I wish it wasn't the case (time I could've spent playing poker..) I probably spent more time on the phone with girls in my HS years than most on this board. Sure, small sample size, but the frequency of pauses/voice almost cracking (even outside of the one where 'she' is 'distraught') made them questionable at the very least.

The only evidence I need is the gay hug. I don't believe anything that either family says. It's 100% a dude (Tussasoupo) on the phone. They had some sick twisted gay love affair where he tried to talk like a female on the phone.

If he had just come out of the closet from the beginning, I think a lot of people in this country would have sympathy for him. The hatred of gays in this culture is almost non-existent nowadays anyway. Yeah, it would probably be a hard time to play in the NFL because he would be mocked relentlessly for it. But he could have been a polarizing figure sorta like how Tim Tebow is with his over the top faith. People would have either accepted him as gay, or taunted him relentlessly.

- T'eo was in on it from the start because of unequivocal proof X;
- The Swarbrick presser was total bull**** in every respect because of unequivocal proof Y;

- The phone records are fabricated because of this concrete example;

But we're not. We're at 'probably' or 'I believe'.

LOL at claiming Te'o was dragged through the mud. Getting dragged through the mud would be if Te'o never told anyone except his friends about Lennay, and then Deadspin dudes go asking his friends about stupid things he had done. One by no means gets to claim being dragged through the muck when you proudly go and repeatedly lie to the sports media to get cover stories and 5 minute human interest stories on TV.

the reason a conclusion hasn't been made is because none of the outlets are assessing the facts. they're like, "ohh, well a dumb athlete could have been duped and if we slam him and we're wrong blah blah everyone loves a good CATFISH dia.gf"...there's a bunch of little things that explicitly make the thing a farce:

1) there's a picture of te'o with ronniah(sp)'s little cousin or sister out there.
2) 1000 calls is pretty unlikely. also, show where the VMs came from and an actual phone record. same with the likely doctored twitter screen shots.
3) prob other stuff. this thing's easy to verify if true.

Why should we believe anything either of these families tell us? Teo could have agreed in the future to pay this girl off to lie about talking on the phone to cover the gay relationship.
