From your response, I get the impression that you believe I can't tell the difference in reliability between a set of documents produced under subpoena and documents produced created from selected portions of the subpoenaed documents. That is not the case.

Interestingly enough, I was merely pointing out in response to your post questioning why someone would have these records on a spreadsheet, that this is the way I received phone records from the phone company under a subpoena I served.

I see someone else has offered a similar response as well. I'm not sure why you'd be so mad over this.

Why are you assuming I'm mad? That's bizarre. I'm just trying to get clear information. I haven't actually looked at the spreadsheet of calls, but the news stories I see seem to indicate that they couldn't be independently verified.

I do see DrunkIrish's point that it would be way too easy to catch them slipping up if they tried to fake it, though.

I am happy you are not mad. I was just trying to be helpful when explaining that (in my experience) the records come on a spread sheet. It seemed you took it the wrong way. Perhaps I didn't state things in a diplomatic manner. In any event, I was not being hostile, and I am happy that you did not take it that way.

Me too. However at some turns, I have to force myself to be less cynical. For example, there could be an innocent explanation for producing the records as they did - other people on those records still have privacy rights, and Manti does not have permission to disclose those publicly. To be honest, I think without express permission, he won't have the legal right to disclose unless those records were under subpoena and redacted.

At this point, there's no reason for Te'o to not just come out as gay -- whether or not he's straight. Better than "I'm straight, but fell for a dude disguising his voice as a girl" because then you get teased for being gay; if he actually comes out as gay, there will be protections against mistreatment granted toward him, no?
