I mean Te'o lied about meeting her early on. He's lying now about the phone convos occurring because that was the best part of his fabricated account of his "relationship". Would bet money he didn't talk to anyone on the phone that he thought was Lennay more than a handful of times during their relationship. In those instances it was probably Ronaiah's cousin and they were likely very brief convos when one party was "busy and had to run". He isn't even able to recognize he voice when she calls from the grave ffs!

ND is full of ****. but, Tuiasosopo has a % chance of being gay, but it's more likely that he was just getting off on being connected to a possible heisman candidate because he was also a failed football player himself. You can't underestimate the wanting to be connected to someone that is guaranteed millions of dollars effect.

Despite popular opinion Te'o was being talked about by Mayock etc. as a high defensive draft pick, and one of the best MLB in the country in the earlier games of the season. Point being he wasn't some low regarded prospect going into the season as so many suggest, and as ND started to win low scoring games it became even more prominent. But, you are correct in saying he wasn't some highly regarded Heisman candidate before the season starts, as it almost never works out the way to begin with.

True, he definitely has the closet factor. But, when you say other guys, i'm only aware of 1 other person he duped. So, was there a girl involved on that too?

We really need to hear from this girl in the Te'o case, it will be really telling on what actually went down because CAA isn't going to care if Tuiasosopo is gay.

There is probably a girl involved in the cases where the guy getting catfished demand to talk on the phone and Ronaiah deems the relationship worthy enough to get his cousin briefly involved.

You guys are forgetting one key component: the nature of the conversations (with Te'o and anyone else he catfished). Seems VERY likely at least some of them were sexual in nature.

SIAP As of yesterday's news. Teo was supposed to meet Lennay in Hawaii in a meeting that failed to materialize.

So he just told his parents that he met her to avoid embarassment. That is the origin of why Teo Sr. told the media that Teo and Lennay got along great in real life.

I mean the most common question people ask (and interviewers did ask) is "how did you meet". He repeatedly lied. The whole thing was like a massive self loathing shame cycle which actually I guess drove him closer to "her".
