Both of those "clowns" were interviewed on camera on SportsCenter earlier this evening...

They both said they were not involved and regret tweeting as if they were. In retrospect, their explanation makes sense. They just knew and were making fun of the situation.

They say their cousin was catfished by Tui over 4 years ago w/ the exact same photos, girl name, etc.

Because while he does need to protect himself from any possible liability, attorneys, especially from a talent agency, do more than just protect you from legal liability. He was there to help him protect his image, make sure he kept his story straight, make sure he didn't answer any questions he shouldn't reply to, etc.

I'm sure Lance had counsel present off camera too. Everyone does for interviews like this. It's just standard and smart. Why wouldn't you?

We can at least nail his story down in stone (assuming he was thorough enough) and start fact-checking it with what he's said in the past. His written statement was too ambiguous to do that.
