1) Standard of evidence for convicting someone is much higher than that for believing they're full of ****. Once we've decided he's full of ****, he needs to convince us otherwise if he wants us to believe otherwise.
2) Big institutions, especially ones connected to CFB or the Catholic Church, have a terrible record for doing anything but stonewalling/covering up dishonesty.
