I think that interview makes it 100% that he was in on it and he is conning the media with her story.

The quotes from his Dad about her trips to Hawaii are strange. Why would Te'o lie to his parents in that spot? Where was he going when he left the house under the pretense of seeing his girlfriend? What is the motivation for Te'o to not be in on it yet lie about this?

It is completely fine for her to not travel to Hawaii to see him. He lied to his parents about this for some reason when there is no logical explanation if he wasn't involved.

I just hope the sports media catches up for his press conference tomorrow or w/e and actually holds him accountable and doesn't allow this to just blow over as a hoax. It seems like the way it came out there's almost no control by the mainstream media so they will have a hard time trying to cover it up if they even wanted to.

Unless you assume he was in on it from the start (which is fine) that interview doesn't prove anything. He said she wrote him a bunch of letters and likely had them set to be delivered before each game. She wrote them up through the Stanford game but since she died prior to all the letters being delivered, it's "kind of creepy".

He could just be completely bull****ting, but if he was getting duped, given the other lengths this guy/guys went to, mailing some letters isn't far fetched at all.
