Right? Between the inconsistencies in how he met her and his friendship with Tuiasosopo, it's hard to believe he's just a victim here. Plus, amateur analysis, but I watched that interview where he talks about her dying and he seems way more like a sociopath trying to fake sadness than a genuinely distraught person.

I thought the same thing too, but dismissed it as my own confirmation bias. Maybe there's something to it.

After checking out those twitter accounts I feel like I have more questions than answers, but if he is really this sheltered then I guess it could have just been a giant ****ing joke and at this point with her dead and the joke not needing to be continued the people responsible thought they were in the clear so they started getting sloppy and joking about it more.

But still something isn't right and Te'o is going to hugely disappoint tomorrow and continue to leave us with more questions than answers.

No doubt it was a lot of work, but if you read the timeline from about 100 posts ago, they weren't really "together" all that long. I don't think the phone calls took place over a very long span of the relationship.

the cynic in me says yes, and that the ppl talking about it on twitter is part of the cover up. they take the fall, everyone moves on after like 5 minutes, he goes to the NFL as an idiot rather than an [censored]. i mean, maybe they got wind that ppl were digging into this whole thing, and this was their exit plan? idk.

I met some great girl online who died of cancer. I think she was amazing, and was dying to meet her. I dedicate this season to her.
