Yes. The Walmart Wolverines will be doing 99% of the trolling. And they've bought the right to do so since their own tax dollars will be paying the gymnasts and lawyers.

This is as bad as Penn State. At least a dozen people employed by the university knew.

LOLSparty does have a $3 billion dollar endowment and its own legal department.

Plus, you know, they're currently trying the ol' governmental immunity gambit.

this parade of injustice SHOULD open up the public’s eyes to a systemic failure of surveilance and protection against criminal doctors. why isn’t patient care recorded on video?

Oh, and insurance. Of course Sparty has insurance.

Wasn't going down that road, but, the giant insurance co probably sells to many unis, who are now all going to have higher premiums.

Why doesn't this shock me. A pedo st fan coming to a thread that is discussing sex crimes and pedophiles and the only thing he can add is a comment about an effing HS football recruit. That, in and of itself is the example of why people think those cult members at psu are nothing more than the slime their former head coach enabled.

It will be interesting to see what type of criminal charges will follow. The civil ones should have a crazy impact. Like Baylor and PSU - why would you send your child to a place with that little regard for safety or civility?

Can't speak for Baylor, but PSU is the pride of Pennsylvania. You can scarcely go anywhere in this god forsaken state without running into an alum. It's sad, but also completely unsurprising, that many would want to defend the honor of the institution to which they owe their livelihoods.

This story is disgusting, but as usual the people at the top never pay the price.

Boggles my mind how alumni dig in to defend the institution (like at PSU).

If I was an alumni I would disgusted/embarrassed/angry as hell. What should be a source of price is now a stain on your reputation.

Damn lawyers, "we had no responsibility to do a damn thing go **** yourselves".

This story pisses me off that it's not getting national TV attention, that nobody's been fired over this despite being told and none of them gave a damn. Half assed apologies at best, then oh won't you think of the real victims here, the people who did nothing about it.

Notre Dame, Penn State, Baylor, Michigan State Nothing ever changes.

Kind of surprising how little exposure this is receiving compared to Penn State's scandal.

Michigan State is sending bills to patients for sessions during which Nassar molested them.

This story is absolutey sickening. At least a dozen victims told someone who was supposed to help.

Indeed, given how much larger this scandal is. US Gymnastics and USOC are complicit as well. It's not just contained to Sparty. I guess maybe because the PSU scandal involved football? No matter, this is already a ****storm and I'd be shocked if more people than just Nassar don't wind up doing time, as they should.

im not sure there is a more effective solution. the reality is that decreased privacy is a cost of having greater surveilance. i think this helps curb behavioral indecency, but also diagnostic errors that go unnoticed as well.

Sparty is just not good at crisis management

Plus the victim who said that her mother is still getting bills for appointments with Nassar... just not a good look.

How about just listening to those that report the illegal behavior and the ACT upon it. US Gymnastics, USOC, MSU, Baylor and pedo st all refused to do that. Hold them all as accountable as the criminal themselves.

Ferguson also laughed at the idea of the NCAA investigating MSU.
"This is not Penn State," he said, referring to the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal from several years ago. "They were dealing with their football program. ... They're smart enough to know they're not competent to walk in here on this."
