I totally agree with this. Blake has been MOSTLY great this playoff run. But while he has played well, he also turns the ball over alot resulting in easy fast breaks for the other team. Sometimes its because he tries to make the super genius pass, and sometimes just a lazy careless pass. And his shooting is sometimes really good, other times he goes cold. I hope he holds up and plays well throughout as well, but i worry. I really think we need Nash back to take the load off of Blake. Nash is much more experienced savvy in big playoff games. I want him with the ball setting up the offense in the crucial situations. We need EVERYONE to make a run in these playoffs, but especially Nash. We need his offense too.
Pau is the man and we need to carry him to win. Its ok to feed Dwight early in the game to keep him into it. But when the game is on the line i want them feeding Pau in the post. If they don't double he''ll score or get fouled more than anyone else on a consistant basis. If they double Pau he is the greatest passing big man in da game! Game on the line i want Nash bringing it up and dumping it into Pau. Dwight can get the ball in the clutch on the post next year when he sharpens up his post up moves, and learns to shoot foul shots better. That's another thing, if they feed Dwight in the post with the game on the line they will foul him. He's been shooting foul shots better since he's been back, but i want Pau shooting foul shots with the game on the line, not Dwight. That being said, i'm much happier with the way Dwight's been playing last month or 2. We need his defense and rebounding, he's a force at that. But i don't trust him offensively when the game is on the line.
We have no chance if we don't stop Tony Parker with the ball. I can see him driving right up the lane for layups all day. Somehow they have to plug that leak. I really wish Kobe was coaching the team right now, he knows it, not sure if Dantoni knows what to do on defense. Kobe was like a player coach near the end there, and they started playing better defense. Lately they been playing better defense in fairness. But Pop will definately out coach Dantoni. Dantoni seems like a decent guy, but i think he's an awful coach. I wish we had Mike Brown at least. At least he knows how to play defense.
We can beat San Antonio if we play well. If we played Okc we woulda got crushed because we are sloppy covering the 3 point shooters. All i see all day watching a Laker game is these little Lakers(Nash, Blake, Meeks) trying to help out in the paint(JUST STAY WITH YOUR MAN, YOU AINT GONNA GET NO REBOUND OR BLOCK ANYWAY!), or in no man's land, while there guy is wide open behind the 3 point line with his feet set waiting for the pass. Then the little lakers desperately lunging to get a hand in their face, but its way too late.
That's the game plan! Someone tell Dantoni to read our posts so he knows what to do. For some reason he finds it difficult to follow simple game plans. Feed Pau and play defense. Why is that so hard? GO LAKERS!!!!!!!
