having the national champion marching band playing doing some drumline stuff would be pretty cool though obv would never happen because of $$$. this year's halftime is what you get when you cross a marching band, the classic football halftime, with jersey shore, overexposed polished trash.

just cause it sounds "generic" doesn't mean it isn't a beyond incredible song (it is). It sounds incredible, there is no denying it. I'm guessing from ur hatred of great music u are either a) decrepit b) complain about ppl playing music too loud c) like some old crappy music which is outdated and sucks d) all of the above

also i will glady take a bet that ppl will still be bumping usher - dj has us fallin in love in 2 years, top 10 songs of all time dont just fade away like nothing.

As much as 2+2 doesn't like to acknowledge these people, (except to lol at them) they are a demographic that the NFL takes into consideration.

I've seen worse, the only really cringe-worthy moment for me was Fergie attempting to sing Sweet Child. All the goofy light suits were kinda cool

I enjoyed how cracked out and over the top the visuals are, and I kinda like what they attempted to do with a mix of their songs and other stuff- but they just don't have the talent to pull any of it off. (plus it seemed like somebody literally kept forgetting to turn back on some mics). It's like they gave some ambitious jr. college students a lot of money and this is what happened.

Hahaha, suckers. I turned the channel (which in Finland at 3 am means ~black screen) and surfed the net as soon as the half time show started. Incidentally I have seen one BEP live performance. Well at least 3 minutes of it. Never forget.

They really should pick bands that could actually perform well live instead of picking off some autotune album sellers. They can still have a mass appeal, like Foo Fighters would be a good pick. Or even Green Day. Maybe Muse.

the reviews for the halftime show everywhere agree it was horrible; not just sports sites but also entertainment reviewers for whom the game was third in importance yesterday behind the halftime show and glee.

Although I would agree it would likely get panned here even if it were serviceable, it sucked. It was a huge failure, the only good news for the BEP is that Aguilera messed up the national anthem so that is the music/entertainment storyline this morning.

But yea, most people hated the halftime show, everywhere.
